Getting Started:

• Download approved SMPH branded PowerPoint templates
• Define clear S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time Sensitive) learning objectives
• Chunk material into smaller modules if it will take students longer then 20 minutes
  • Preferable time per recorded chunk is 10-12 minutes

Visual Appeal | PowerPoint Tips:

• Bullet points instead of paragraph
  • Bulleted text should end in a (.) if it’s a full sentence
  • Try to keep punctuation consistent in same group of points
• Left align text
• Use bold and italics to emphasis key words, do not underline unless it’s a hyperlink
• Leave white space on page to aid readability
• Apply interactive strategies that engage learners
  • Add knowledge checks
  • Add graphics and animations
• Use an active voice, present tense and second person as appropriate

Use your Phone for Audio Only

• When you enter your session, write down the phone and PIN. Your unique PIN will remain active for a short period following your disconnect.
• Open the session menu by clicking the black-and-white tab in the upper-left corner of Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.

• Click on the item labeled ‘Use your phone for audio.’

• This will generate a unique PIN number for you. Call the number listed and enter this PIN number.

• Your phone audio will be tied to your web login if you use this PIN. If you are using your phone for audio but are also logged in on the web, you will see a phone icon next to your name in the attendees list.

• The top section: complete the 3 lines starting with “Last Name”. The researcher completes this section and others.
• “Computer Systems Access Requests” section: the researcher only needs to fill in the “Other UW Health Computer Systems” text box with “Project RCPxxxxxxx work within RCP”. The RCPxxxxxxx is the project ID returned to you by the RCP team.
• “User Agreement and Access Authorization” section: The researcher  being added to the project needs to sign and date in the first line. The department administrator needs to sign and data line two(no digital signatures accepted). Then their name and title get printed on the third line.

Who needs to sign the form?
CSARs are generally signed by the department administrators.
