Classroom and AV Services (CAVS)

The Classroom and AV Services (CAVS) team supports students, faculty, and staff by providing and maintaining technology in SMPH learning spaces across six buildings. We help design tech-enabled rooms to support a variety of teaching and presentation styles and coordinate AV support for classes and events during regular business hours.

CAVS also partners with SMPH Room Reservations for reserving learning spaces.

Moveable Furniture and Accessory Reservations

As part of your event you may need tables, chairs, announcement boards, poster boards and other items. Classroom and AV Support can provide:

  • Announcement Sign – Rectangle
  • Chairs (5 chairs)
  • Display Boards 4×8
  • Display Easel – Aluminum or Wooden
  • Flip Chart / Chalk Board / Whiteboard
  • Garment Rack
  • Lectern –  Pedestal or Table Top
  • Microphone Stand – Floor Model
  • Plinth Table (Patient Exam Table)
  • Stanchion Set
  • Tables: 5×2′ (w/wheels), 6×2.5′ (w/wheels), 6×2.5′ (no wheels), 8×2.5′ (no wheels)
  • Trash Cans
  • Voice Reinforcement System
  • Whiteboard 4×6

Users are responsible for setup and return of these items to storage.  Reservations are made online (you must be signed into EMS to follow this link) and picked up at the desk at 1240 HSLC.
